Beautification
As part of our mission to beautify Bucks County, Bucks Beautiful strives to enhance the local landscape for residents and visitors alike by beautifying our towns, schools, parks, roadsides and pathways throughout Bucks County. Below are some of the ways in which we accomplish this. To apply for a matching garden grant, please request a grant application via email to grants@bucksbeautiful.org. Application deadlines are March 1st for Spring and August 31st for Fall.
Community Garden Grants – Since 1991 we have been providing grants for the development of community gardens throughout Bucks County. These include at historical sites such as Washington Crossing Historic Park, native demonstration gardens, plantings at hospitals, war memorials, public parks, wetlands, gateway gardens and town centers. We also award grants to area garden clubs who sponsor uplifting planters at nursing homes and long term care facilities.
Maintain Bucks County Public Gardens – Provide support for the maintenance of local gardens such as those at the Central Bucks YMCA, Delaware Valley University, the Bucks County Library and Fonthill Castle.
